Since the release of the official modding toolkit for Baldur's Gate 3, modders have been pushing the boundaries of what they can create for the hit game made by Larian Studios. Not only do they have access to the official modding toolkit, but it didn't take people long to access the developer mode of the toolkit, which allows people to make new cutscenes, new maps, and much more. A Baldur's Gate 3 modder named tinybike has started creating a mod that implements real-time battles into the game instead of the turn-based combat that players are used to.

At the moment, the mod is in very early, experimental stages. The mod doesn't have any sort of pause button yet, which could spell disaster if you're expecting to be able to take a toilet break in the middle of battle.
The modder tinybike has uploaded a video of the real-time combat test in Baldur's Gate 3 so that you see what kind of action you can expect by utilizing the mod whenever it comes out. The video only shows one person being involved in the combat, so it's uncertain whether the mod will allow players to utilize a full team for combat or not.
The modder has mentioned that this mod for Baldur's Gate 3 is still very much a rough draft, as they haven't yet added a pause ability so that you can give your party commands before the chaos ensues. It's set to resemble the combat system from the original Baldur's Gate games. They have also told people in the comments on their video not to try playing the campaign with the mod how it currently is. "I don't think it plays nice with dialogue yet (i.e. you will get butchered in real time while the dialogue is happening)," says tinybike in a comment on the video. They have also said that pausing should be pretty
