Gigabyte, one of the top motherboard manufacturers, launched its X870/X870E motherboard lineup a few weeks back, revealing newly added features to the chipsets. Gigabyte X870E/X870 motherboards for AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs bring modern connectivity and features for building powerful computers for high-performance computing. Apart from supporting the latest Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 and the previous Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000/8000 CPUs, the motherboards also bring enhanced aesthetics, improved connectivity, and handy features for convenience.
The Gigabyte X870/X870E motherboards are made EZ DIY-friendly, which provide multiple EZ features for better convenience, including:
The M.2 EZ-Match makes it easier to install the M.2 NVMe SSDs in the connectors and also provides bigger heatsinks for faster heat dissipation. This leads to better overall efficiency while allowing easy access to the installation/uninstallation of solid-state drives, which can now be done through a magnetic attachment design. Currently, the M.2 EZ-Match is present only on the high-end X870E AORUS Master motherboard, but the rest of the EZ features are available on various models.
The WiFi EZ-Plug is another exciting new feature that is supported on all the X870E/X870 AORUS(ICE) Series motherboards. This feature allows attaching the WiFi antenna plugs to the adapter in one second, which usually takes much more time with the usual design where users are required to indulge in screwing.
Furthermore, Gigabyte has equipped the AORUS X870E/X870E (ICE) Series models with various DIY-friendly features such as PCI-E EZ-Latch Plus for easier detachment of graphics cards that can be troublesome with the usual design that involves manual pressing of the lever to unlock the PCI-E x16 slot. The next is the M.2 EZ-Latch Plus, which allows screw-less
