If the words of Baldur’s Gate 3 director Swen Vincke are anything to go by, the award-winning RPG could soon get some sort of crossover with Vampire Survivors. Given that both games are rooted in fantasy, a crossover between the two would make sense.
Baldur’s Gate 3 and Vampire Survivors are two successful games in their own right. While the former is a AAA title that bagged multiple Game of the Year awards last year, the latter is an indie game that achieved way more success than was initially thought possible.
Larian boss Swen Vincke’s latest tweet has teased a potential coming together of two popular games, Baldur’s Gate 3 and Vampire Survivors. On Twitter, he posted a poll asking whether the two games should collaborate with the only two options being “Yes” and “F--- yes,” hinting that the poll result was inconsequential to the actual decision which seemed to have already been made.
At the time of writing, over 18,000 votes have been polled with 51.1% of users picking the “F--- yes” option with just a few hours left to go. In the comments section of the poll, Vincke also shared a cryptic picture of him and what appears to be Luca Galante, the main man behind Vampire Survivors. After this, the post was swarmed with excited fans of both games. Some fans expressed their desire to see the popular Baldur's Gate 3 character Asterion in Vampire Survivors. Another user said, “Would kill to play as Peppino in BG3.”
While Baldur’s Gate 3 is still quite popular, averaging over 90,000 concurrent players on Steam over the past month, it is the first time this stat has dipped below a six-digit value since the game’s launch. On the other hand, Vampire Survivors has also seen its numbers stagnate over the past year after last crossing 10,000 average concurrent players in April 2023.
