Though the Steam Deck will likely be hard to top when it comes to performance for the price--especially thanks to the $399 model--Valve's handheld will soon have a powerful big-name competitor: the Asus ROG Ally.

Asus has finally revealed official specs for the ROG Ally. We're still waiting on a price confirmation from Asus, but here's a look at what this handheld PC will bring to the table:
All Asus has officially stated about the price is that the ROG Ally will cost less than $1,000. However, a leak claims that the ROG Ally will cost $599 with the Z1 CPU and $699 with the Z1 Extreme. That makes it directly comparable to the 512GB Steam Deck, which costs $649. If the leak turns out to be true, the Steam Deck will have a formidable competitor, assuming the new Asus handheld offers solid performance.
