Hot on the heels of highlighting the tech features for Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ PC version, Ubisoft has now also offered similar details for the upcoming open world action RPG’s PS5 and Xbox Series X versions.
In an Q&A published on Ubisoft’s website, technology director Pierre F revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will feature a performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X that will run at 60 FPS and an upscaled 2160p resolution.
The developer did not touch on other graphical modes, nor do we yet know what to expect from what resolution and frame rate the game will target on the weaker hardware of the Xbox Series S. That said, Pierre F did say “more details on the modes available on consoles will be shared before the game’s launch”, so hopefully it won’t be too long before we know more.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is due out on March 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. According to Ubisoft, the game is enjoying “solid” pre-order numbers in the lead-up to its release, in line with Odyssey, the series’ second-biggest seller to date. Read more on that through here.
