Donald Trump created history by becoming the 47th President of the United States by winning the 2024 election, and it did not take long for Apple CEO Tim Cook to congratulate him on his victory. Additionally, the Chief Executive hints in his latest post that he intends to work with the returning President to help ensure that the country leads in innovation and other areas.
On X, Tim Cook expressed some heartfelt words to the new President-elect, stating that the Apple CEO will be working closely with Donald Trump once again. At the time of writing, Cook’s post had garnered 3.1 million views, more than 69,000 likes and 5,600 reposts. As reported by AppleInsider, the current Chief Executive was well-known for having a close relationship with Trump, more so compared to other technology leaders. Then again, even with the Biden administration, Cook and other senior Apple members visited the White House at least 87 times in March 2024.
During Trump’s previous term, he mistakingly called Tim Cook ‘Tim Apple’ but no one can deny that the latter’s involvement was instrumental in getting Apple out of a tough situation that was created thanks to the trade skirmishes happening between China and the U.S. Trump attempted to reduce dependency on the region in an attempt to kick off production locally by applying an insane amount of tariffs. Apple had not diversified its supply chain at that time, but Tim Cook persevered and convinced Trump from applying tariffs against its products.
