A Spider-Verse game could be in development by Insomniac Games, judging from a recent leaked document highlighting the studio's future projects.
Shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit, this document mentions the studio's future projects, which include a game codenamed RCE, most likely a new entry in the Ratchet & Clank series, the predictable Spider-Man 3 and a game called Spider-, whose name is cut off. Another part of the leaked document, however, mentions Spider-Verse outright, talking about additional support for it. This is an interesting statement, as it may suggest how this game is actually the multiplayer project in the works at the developer.
The leaked Insomniac document mentioning Spider-Verse was obtained via a ransomware attack by Rhysida, which confirmed having obtained confidential data with a screenshot showcasing character art from the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine. Sony acknowledged the ransomware attack yesterday, but it is not yet clear how both companies will address the massive security risk, as personal data of employees is apparently part of the stolen data.
The latest game released by Insomniac is Marvel's Spider-Man 2, now available on PlayStation 5. You can learn more about it by checking out our review.

However, a bigger shake-up may be needed for the inevitable Spider-Man 3.
