One of the hardest Shrine Quests in is "." Unlike most shrines, quest shrines require a fair bit of outside adventuring. Players must complete a quest or solve an overworld puzzle in order to open the way. These puzzles are typically pretty difficult, requiring extensive knowledge of the map or some very specific timing. That, along with some shrine quests' vague wording, make them some of the hardest shrines in .
"" is one of those shrine quests, and it's a doozy. Taking place entirely within the chilly Hebra region of , "" begins when Link meets a Rito woman named Laissa in Rito Village. She explains that, while out sightseeing from Vah Medoh's perch, she saw a strange, glowing rock inside a distant cave. That sure sounds like a shrine, but she can't remember where the cave was. All she remembers is that she was looking for a white bird when she found it. Here's how to follow her cryptic directions and find the shrine.
The correct shrine for the quest "" is Wao-Os Shrine, located northwest of Rito Village at coordinates -4058, 1990, 0197. There are a couple of clues in Laissa's dialogue; first and foremost, she mentions that she received the white bird's guidance at dawn. If Link climbs to the top of the bird-shaped rock near sunrise, he can look in the direction of the spire's shadow to see where it's pointing. One of 's Korok Seeds is located under the rock atop the perch, so don't forget to grab it while up there.
But don't expect a literal white bird; instead, the shadow will point toward a perfect likeness of a bird in profile, outlined in white snow on the cliff walls below. Link will have to paraglide toward it, and when he lands, should notice a cave entrance lying just below the bird's beak. Note that there's also a Korok hiding under the rock that makes up the bird's eye, so pick that up before continuing. Head inside to discover West Lake Totori Cave, and follow the relatively small and simple cave passage to find Wao-Os Shrine.
