Fallout isn't the only show that has the world gripped right now. X-Men '97 has been making waves too, especially after the first part of its three-part finale hit Disney Plus this week. No need to look away if you're not caught up on the animated show, there will be no spoilers discussed here. We're here to discuss the mansion in which the X-Men reside, and how Airbnb has teamed up with Marvel to create a real-life replica you can stay in with up to seven friends.
The mansion is in New Castle, New York and was shown off during Airbnb's Summer Release Event (thanks, IGN). The recreation of the mutants' animated home begins on the approach to the mansion, a sign outside informing visitors that it's a school run by Charles Xavier. Move a little closer to the front door and you'll notice a decapitated Sentinel head, made to look like it has fallen from a great height as it has left quite the dent in the mansion's driveway.
To call the sign and the Sentinel head the tip of this X-Men iceberg would be an understatement. Not only has the inside of the mansion been painstakingly overhauled to mirror the school the X-Men call home, but almost everything has been designed to look like you have stepped into an animated show. Everything in the mansion was painted by hand, and it took at least an hour to paint each item. You'll be doing a lot more than just having a sleepover in the X-Men mansion too.
For $97 per person per night, you will be getting an entire X-Men '97 experience. Your visit will include a trip to Beast's lab, the chance to recreate the iconic Wolverine photo meme from the animated X-Men show's original run, and a session in the Danger Room where specialists will hone your fighting skills. You'll be spending the night in recreations of Jubilee and Cyclops' bedrooms, and be given a diploma before you leave to prove you were once a student of Xavier's school, even if it was brief.
If a stay in the mansion from X-Men '97 sounds like a dream come true
