Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Builds Their Own Version of the Master Cycle Zero
A gamer created their own version of the Master Cycle Zero in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Nintendo-developed game offers players the ability to construct various objects to aid them in their adventures through the vast and open world of Hyrule.
Introduced in 2017's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Master Cycle Zero is a Rune that, in essence, behaves like a horse-shaped motorcycle. While the item does not appear in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, one gamer has utilized the sequel's new build system to create their own version of the Master Cycle Zero.
In a recent post on the Hyrule Engineering subreddit, a hub where The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players can share their custom creations, user Ultrababouin showed off their working replica of the Master Cycle Zero. Appearance-wise, the recreation is not a perfect copy of the Divine Beast that Link got to use in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but Ultrababouin said that it was close enough to the real thing. One community member described the replica, which was powered by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Energy Cells, as being impressive.
People have managed to create all sorts of contraptions using the Nintendo game's build system. One gamer created what is essentially a working jet in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that was made out of, among other things, a star fragment, seesaws that can only be found in the Rotsumamu Shrine, and a Zonai fan. With the help of the last part, the custom creation devised by Reddit user osh-kosh-ganache was able to achieve incredibly high speeds, but at the cost of stability.
Osh-kosh-ganache also made a mechanical replica of King Gleeok, who is an overworld boss in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Much like the character it is based on, the aptly named Mecha King Gleeok has three heads that can breathe fire, emit lasers, and unleash a frost attack.
