A Fallout 76 player may have found a rather creative way to show their disapproval for Xbox closing down Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin.
As shared on X/Twitter by @Sam_Snydes, a player has launched a nuke at Phil Spencer's camp in Fallout 76. While the action may not be related to any protest against the decision to close down the Hi-Fi Rush and Prey development studios, the timing of the action seems to suggest how this really is a creative way to inform Phil Spencer directly about their displeasure.
Both Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin were under the umbrella of ZeniMax Media, like the developer of Fallout 76, Bethesda. The news of both studios' closure came suddenly earlier this week, although the decision to close them may have been under discussion for a while, according to Moon Studios CEO Thomas Mahler. According to online reports, the two studios were singled out by ZeniMax itself as they were in the process of pitching their next projects and had nothing in active development. Alongside the Hi-Fi Rush and Prey developer, Microsoft also closed down mobile Alpha Dog Games and dissolved Roundhouse Studios, which will be absorbed by ZeniMax Online to continue working on The Elder Scrolls Online.
