Developer Lifeline Games has unveiled its first release. Titled Deer and Boy, the game got a trailer during this year’s Summer Game Fest showcase that you can check out below.
While not too many details about Deer and Boy have been revealed, we do have a vague description of the upcoming title thanks to its Steam page, where the studio describes it as a cute, cinematic platformer that will be story-rich.
The game puts players in the shoes of a boy who comes to meet and befriend a fawn following a tragic event. The game seems to revolve around exploring the world through side-scrolling gameplay, and there will even be puzzles where the boy and the deer will have to collaborate in order to proceed.
The deer will also seemingly grow up alongside the boy as they go through the game’s various environments, gaining new abilities and more useful ways to solve puzzles as they continue. The game also seems to lean on a fantasy element, with the trailer showcasing some eldritch beings, including a gigantic evil-looking boar.
