Xbox Series X/S Has Sold 21 Million Units, Xbox One at 58 Million, as Per Microsoft Brazil Presentation

Unlike Sony and Nintendo, who routinely provide updated sales figures for their consoles, Microsoft stopped doing that years ago, which means we very rarely get numbers for Xbox consoles, and even when they do, they tend to be estimates. However, it seems updated sales numbers for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S have recently emerged nonetheless, coming directly from Microsoft.

Recently at BIG Festival in Brazil, during an ID@Xbox presentation, Microsoft revealed current sales figures for its consoles in a slide (via @Welfare_JBP on Twitter). As per the slide, Xbox Series X/S’ collectively sales currently stand at over 21 million. Earlier this year, its estimated sales were reported to be at around 18.5 million units.

Meanwhile, the slide also reveals that the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S’ total sales stand at over 79 million units, which means the Xbox One has sold over 58 million units in its lifetime. That lines up with what Microsoft has indicated in the past. Last year, the company said that Xbox One had sold less than half as much as PS4 worldwide, putting it somewhere in the mid to high 50 million range.

Recently, Microsoft announced price increases for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Series X in several markets, excluding US, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Columbia, though prices for Xbox Series S and PC Game Pass aren’t changing. Earlier this month, the compant also unveieled a new Xbox Series S model that will come in black and feature a 1 TB SSD.
