Publishers Beep Japan, publisher and developer Poppy Works, and developer Protoculture Games will release side-scrolling shoot ’em up Devil Engine: Complete Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on October 12, the companies announced. It will include the base game Devil Ignition and the expansion “Devil Engine: Ignition.”
In North America, the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions will be available physically via a to be announced physical distributor.
In Japan, the PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available physically for 3,980 yen with support for both English and Japanese language options. It will also include the bonus title 1993 Shenandoah.
Devil Engine first launched for PC via Steam on February 21, 2019. The expansion “Devil Engine: Ignition” was announced in May 2019, with plans to launch on PC in winter 2019, but the release never materialized. With the Complete Edition announced, the expansion will likely launch for PC via Steam alongside it.
