Everspace 2 is going to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 15th, developer Rockfish Games has confirmed. It will be on Xbox Game Pass from day one too. The PS5 version of the game will fully support the DualSense including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the use of the speaker too. It will also be 60fps on consoles too.
“With space adventure games getting more attention than ever, we’re excited to bringEVERSPACE 2 to whole new audiences on Xbox and PlayStation this August,” says ROCKFISH Games CEO Michael Schade. “The two years we spent in Early Access whendeveloping for our PC launch has served us well in the lead up to our release on consoles andwe’ve used the last few months well, polishing an already rock-solid foundation. Series X andPlayStation 5 players can look forward to exploring the star systems of EVERSPACE 2supporting 60 FPS when we launch later this summer.”
In October, the Everspace 2 Stellar Edition will be released, which is a collector’s edition of the game. This edition will include a steelbook case, a 64 page mini artbook, and a copy of the game’s soundtrack. The game has a story campaign that is fully voiced in English and German, with the campaign itself lasting around 30 hours. This does not include the various side quests, jobs and distress calls that players will come across while exploring the space.
Miguel played the game during its early access phase, and said, “Everspace 2 is a wildly ambitious leap from the humble roguelite beginnings of the original game, but so far this Early Access launch proves that Rockfish Games are more than capable of delivering.”
