Publishers Beep Japan, publisher and developer Poppy Works, and developer Protoculture Games will release side-scrolling shoot ’em up Devil Engine: Complete Edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on October 12, the companies announced.
In Japan, the PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available both physically and digitally, with support for both English and Japanese language options. It will cost 3,980 yen and include expansion “Devil Engine: Ignition” and bonus title 1993 Shenandoah.
Devil Engine first launched for PC via Steam on February 21, 2019. The expansion “Devil Engine: Ignition” was announced in May 2019, with plans to launch on PC in winter 2019, but the release never materialized. With the Complete Edition announced, the expansion will likely launch for PC via Steam alongside it.
