As recently confirmed in the latest Producer’s Letter, today is the day that EverQuest II has added several more expansions to the free to play list.
The three newly unlocked expansions are: Terrors of Thalumbra, Kunark Ascending , and Planes of Prophecy . These are all accessible to players that have reached level 100 And you are ready to try and save Norrath once more.
In Terrors of Thalumbra , there are mysterious happenings that involve the Plane of the Underfoot, where you’ll journey beneath Norrath to investigate. This expansion was originally released back in 2015 as the 12th expansion and Introduces new zones to explore, including the under depths with bioluminescent environments and Arcane forces.
Kunark Ascending tasks you with stopping Lanys T’Vyl and her evil plans that endanger the last Chaos Stone. She wants power and you'll have to stop her because the fate of Norrath is to be determined. This expansion, originally out in 2016, added Ascension classes as a form of progression for max level characters. Four of these classes arrived with the expansion — - Elementalist, Etherealist, Geomancer, and Thaumaturgist.
Finally, Planes of Prophecy will flip things around even more.
“Level 100 adventurers can begin their treacherous journey through the Celestial Planes of Power via the Ulteran teleportation spires found throughout Norrath. Let it transport you to the Plane of Magic, where you will find Aunsellus Tishan, the famed magician.”
With these releases, the level cap on free to play content increases to 110, the same as the Tradeskill level cap, there are some level-agnostic dungeons added, Epic 2.0s, six wardrobe slots, and the introduction of mercenary training.
