The Crew Motorfest’s closed beta kicked off on Friday and will remain live until later today, though it seems that for many, the upcoming open world racer hasn’t been a great first impression, with the beta being plagued by a number of technical issues.
Players on social media and various forums have been reporting issues with The Crew Motorfest’s open beta in numbers, with the PC version seemingly being the one that’s catching the most criticism. Apparently, the game’s frame rate has been significantly poor across a spectrum of settings and specs, while many players have also reported crashes.
Some have reported that tweaking specific settings – from removing the Discord overlay to uninstalling OBS to turning off v-sync – curtail the issues to some degree, though by and large, the problem seems quite widespread, and without any specific solutions. Ubisoft has yet to officially comment on the same, but hopefully it won’t be too long before that changes, especially with players looking for assurances that the final game itself won’t have similar problems.
The Crew Motorfest is due out on September 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
