Understanding Malignant Hearts There are 4 different types of Malignant Hearts, Vicious Hearts (Offensive), Brutal Hearts (Defensive), Devious Hearts (Utility), and Wrathful Hearts («Super Power»). While the first 3 types (Vicious, Brutal, Devious) of hearts can be farmed and crafted somewhat reliably, obtaining the powerful Wrathful Hearts is a bit more complicated.Malignant Sockets in Jewelry have a color corresponding to the Malignant Heart type: Orange for Vicious Hearts, Purple for Brutal Hearts, and Pink for Devious Hearts. Wrathful Hearts can be socketed into all Malignant Sockets.
Malignant Hearts have different levels — the higher the level, the higher the affixes that come with the Malignant Heart bonus. To counteract the fact that you aren't able to socket Gems into Jewelry anymore, all Malignant Hearts will provide an Armor bonus which scales with their Item Power.
