Xbox Game Pass has been busy this week, adding two new games on January 16, revealing new games coming later this month and in February, and also confirming a new day-one Xbox Game Pass title for some time this year: Frostpunk 2. This highly anticipated sequel follows the original apocalyptic survival city-builder game and asks a dangerous question in a frozen wasteland: what's next? The biggest external threats are gone, and only internal ones remain.

Given its popularity, this is a huge get for Game Pass since players will be able to check it out just at the cost of their subscription. What's more, Frostpunk 2 will release on Xbox Series X/S sometime after the PC launch, and it'll also be available there day one on Xbox Game Pass. It's worth noting that the game is also coming to PS5.
Of course, fans have a bit of a wait on their hands because Frostpunk 2 does not have a proper release date yet. There's plenty in the meantime, though. Xbox Game Pass still has plenty of games coming in January 2024: Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, F1 23, Palworld, Go Mecha Ball, and Brotato
