Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, like any other Souls-like, has a summoning system. In the bonfire equivalent battle flags, you can access a menu to call for aid, using a Tiger Seal in the process. However, if another player does help you beat a boss, they'll be stuck watching the entire cutscene right alongside you.
The problem is that if you want to fight that same boss over and over again, helping a whole host of players, you might be forced to watch that cutscene tens of times. Already, and understandably, the community is getting irritated.

"Dear [Wo Long] devs," u/DaddyMicko opens their Reddit post. "When we join an online ally can you PLEASE oh please kick us out of the session when the boss fight ends, I shouldn't have to watch 20mins of cutscenes that the host has to watch yet iv already seen".
There are a few workarounds. If you force quit during the cutscene, you can get out of it, but this could forfeit your reward for helping beat a boss. Alternatively, if you are the host, you can skip the cutscene and go back to watch it in the theatre, so that the summon isn't forced to sit through it all over again.
In the meantime, players are calling on Team NInja to cut off the exit period, making summons go home before a cutscene. This is standard in Souls-like games, as summons tend to vanish right at the end of a fight during a small grace period where you can wave goodbye in the boss arena. Following their departure, the cutscene begins. The only ones that can't be avoided are the opening movies.
