Sabotage Studios announced that Sea of Stars will be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on August 29, alongside its previously revealed platforms of PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
«Since the very beginning, we were secretly hoping to be able to cover all current and previous generation consoles,» Sabotage Studios explained in a statement on Kickstarter. «With production being a world of curve balls, we had to leave the messaging at 'PC and Consoles' to avoid having to walk some things back. With the big unknowns now in the rearview, we are delighted to finally confirm the addition of Xbox to the party!»

A demo for Sea of Stars is currently only available on Nintendo Switch, but the demo will come to other platforms later this year.
Sea of Stars was first announced in 2020 and was scheduled to launch the following year. However, it was delayed numerous times, appearing in an Indie World Direct in December 2021, where it stated that the game would release during the Holiday 2022 period. Now, it has a definitive release date in 2023.
