The update will bring both co-op and a new character.

Berzerk Studio announced that the free Deux or Die multiplayer update will come to the indie sidescrolling game Infernax on April 5 for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Infernax: Deux or Die adds a new playable character named Cervul the Squire, who is a well-rounded character who wields axes and tools. His attacks have the ability to buff himself or both players. If players decide to take Cervul down a darker path, they will unlock a more sinister version of him, which emphasizes a more explosive playstyle and dealing more damage.
The multiplayer co-op function also extends to Infernax's gun mode, which allows both players to wield as much firepower as they want against the game's biggest monsters.
The game also received a previous update last year that added another playable character wielding a shotgun and wearing a hockey mask called The Stranger, which was inspired by popular horror culture.
Infernax was first released on February 14, 2022. It was included in Xbox Game Pass earlier but unfortunately left the service in February 2023. In our list of five games on Switch that players shouldn't miss out on, we said about Infernax, «If you're a fan of Castlevania, Infernax is a must-play game that can be completed in around four hours.»
