With The Game Awards now in the rearview mirror, the penultimate event in the gaming calendar has concluded, leaving us with just one final noteworthy milestone to clear: Push Square's definitive Game of the Year countdown, of course. Work is underway behind-the-scenes on that, and all will be revealed towards the latter half of the month.
My main aim for the weekend is to get through Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for our review, but with The Finals dropping during The Game Awards, I'm keen to get some time on that after missing the beta.
Another weekend, and another pixel art action game. I can't believe that it's almost a year since Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider released on 12th January, 2023, so I'll slash my way back to JoyMasher's 16-bit inspired ninja-'em-up.
With the surprise release of DLC for Final Fantasy 16, I think it's high time Clive and I got acquainted. Now that things are slightly calmer on the release front for me, this may be my opportunity to get stuck in.
I'm very interested in all these new Fortnite games that are launching, so I'll probably spend a chunk of time getting to grips with LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing.
I'll be putting in a bit more time with Have a Nice Death this weekend before I put my thoughts into a review. I'm also very curious to try Rocket Racing in Fortnite; as a big fan of both Rocket League and arcade racers, this could be made for me. Let's hope it's good!
