director Michael Giacchino has spoken about the possibility of a follow-up to Marvel Studios‘ horror special.
While speaking with Collider, Giacchino stated that while no sequel to the special has been announced or confirmed, he has ideas for a potential Werewolf by Night follow up, noting that they’re “all crazy and nuts.”
“There’s always talk,” the director stated. “But, you know, until somebody decides to spend a penny, nothing happens yet. So, hopefully. My wish is that, yes, there will be more with these characters. I would love to, and I have ideas of what I would love to do with them, and it’s all crazy and nuts, but I think that’s the only way to go about it. So, hopefully, one day. Hopefully, one day.”
“Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
Werewolf by Night in Color arrives on Disney+ on Friday, October 20. The original Werewolf by Night, which is currently available on the streaming platform, originally released in October 2022 and served as a different and spookier take on the MCU inspired by the horror films of the 1930s and 1940s.
