Alan Wake 2 is here, and as you would expect from a survival horror game, it throws some fairly tough challenges at you, including a number of boss fights.

Alan Wake 2’s final major boss battle comes in the 7th chapter of Saga Anderson’s campaign, but before you get to that, you’ll have to take on one the most grueling combat challenge in the game. This is easiest the hardest part of the game, but with some of our tips, you’ll be able to survive (with a few curse words uttered). Check out full guide below…
Okay, I’m not going to mince words – this part of Alan Wake 2 kind of sucks. It forces you to fend off a lot of enemies, even though the game’s combat system isn’t really designed for that. Also, if you’re playing on console, make sure you’re in Performance mode – in Quality mode the framerate is so chunky this sequence is almost unplayable.
So, your goal is to fend off numerous Taken so Tor and Odin can finish their summoning rock song. You’ll have to fend off three main waves of enemies and survive for a bit under 5 minutes. That said, before you set the summoning in motion, run around the beach area and grab as much ammo and resources as you can. There are multiple cases containing goodies dotted around the beach, as well as a couple propane tanks just laying in the sand. Equip your pistol, hunting rifle, and pump-action shotgun (here’s how to find all of those) as well plenty of flares, flash grenades, and propane tanks. Stock up on Trauma Packs for healing – full on first-aid kits take too long to use.
