The rumors and leaks were accurate — Call of Duty: Warzone will crossover with Godzilla vs. Kong in a May 2022 content update titled Operation: Monarch. Cursory details about Warzone's Godzilla vs. Kong crossover first hit the airwaves in late March when industry insider Tom Henderson and other sources claimed to have seen artwork of the two monsters duking it out with soldiers in the popular battle royale. Earlier this week, Activision all but confirmed the rumors by sharing a pair of marketing images that hinted at Godzilla's and King Kong's impending arrival.

It seems the COD: Warzone development team aimed to take things up a notch with this year's movie crossover, though.
