New marketing posters for an upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone event tease chaos Godzilla and Kong will bring to the Caldera map. This doesn't mark the first hint of a Godzilla vs Kong match coming to Warzone, either. Late last month, reputable industry insider Tom Henderson and a Twitter user who has since deactivated their account claimed classified concept art depicted the two iconic monsters wreaking havoc in the world of Call of Duty. Not too long thereafter, an official Season 3 trailer for Warzone and Vanguard offered a few cryptic hints about Kong's and Godzilla's supposedly forthcoming debut.
While developer Raven Software has yet to confirm or deny the ongoing monster-themed speculation, the studio continues to hint at the big changes that will hit Call of Duty: Warzone during Season 3. New weapons will soon enter the experience, for instance, along with unspecified map changes, audio improvements, and sniper rifle nerfs. If the leaks and rumors regarding a Godzilla vs Kong crossover prove accurate, however, the Caldera map's next major update could shift things quite dramatically.
