Warhammer fans aren't exactly starving for video games these days, but Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is one they should definitely pay attention to. The retro-style first-person shooter looks like a Space Marine was transported into Doom, and it was unveiled with a very creative trailer.
Revealed during the Warhammer Skulls event, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun's trailer actually doesn't focus on the game for all but the last small slice. Instead, it shows someone opening up an old cardboard box full of their '90s-era possessions. Inside are Warhammer miniatures as well as a floppy disk for Boltgun. (No, that doesn't actually exist.)

It then transports us to Boltgun, with a Space Marine cracking his knuckles before delivering punishment to enemies in a haze of bullets and gore. We also get confirmation that there will be melee kills, because you can't play as a Space Marine without them. Not only will you be battling daemons, but also Chaos Space Marines who have abandoned the Emperor.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is coming in 2023 to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and, of course, PC. It's one of several games featured during the Warhammer Skulls event, including Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and Space Marine 2.
