Bill & Ted's Excellent Retro Collection Coming To PS5 & Switch
Limited Run Games has announced pre-orders for Bill & Ted's Excellent Retro Collection on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. The collection contains Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure on the NES and Bill & Ted's Excellent Game Boy Adventure A Bogus Journey on the Game Boy.
The original Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure movie launched at the tail end of the '80s, at the start of the movie-video game adaptation era. Surprisingly, there were only a few Bill & Ted games produced, despite the franchise's time-traveling concept being a good fit for the video game format. Many '80s films have received games in the modern era, including Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Friday the 13th, and Robocop. Because of this, a Bill & Ted game in the Telltale style could be a fun addition to the series, especially after a new Bill & Ted movie released in 2020.

However, the two existing Bill & Ted games will soon be available on modern systems in a retro bundle. The official Limited Run Games Twitter account has announced the Bill & Ted's Excellent Retro Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. The pre-orders for the game will open on June 9, but currently, there isn't a known release date. Limited Run Games specializes in physical releases, and there will be a Collector's Edition version of the game that comes with a NES-style cardboard sleeve, as well as a soundtrack.
