Fire Emblem fans have been anxiously awaiting news of the next release in the popular strategy game franchise. Instead of a new main series release, but Nintendo announced the Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes in early 2022. This led some to believe that a main series Fire Emblem release was still some way off. That may not be true, however, if a new leak is to be believed. Several screenshots for an unreleased Fire Emblem game have leaked online.
Four different Fire Emblem screenshots are being shared across social media. The four screenshots include a character with red and blue hair standing in front of an NPC, a white-haired knight speaking to a robed figure with dark hair, a menu featuring the same two figures with a list of Fire Emblem-style pixelized sprite allies between them, and then another list showing the profile pictures of over a dozen in-game characters.

While the images clearly convey the systems ofFire Emblem game, there's no explicit confirmation that these images are from the franchise let alone a new and unreleased Fire Emblem. However, other details surrounding the leaks add context to the situation. Reporter Emily Rogers says that Nintendo has already completed the new Fire Emblem game, made in partnership between Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo, and Gust. The protagonist has red and blue hair and is the child of a dragon. «Emblems» mechanic allows summons from past Fire Emblem games. Note that these comments came ahead of the release of the leaked screenshots.
