The upcoming update for will introduce more than a Raid Boss as players discover that a new addition to the UI will make it significantly easier to assign their collected Pals to various jobs. A major aspect of Pocket Pair's open-world survival game is «taming» wild creatures known as Pals and setting them to work around an established base in an effort to automate busy work. It's a satisfying loop but since launch the community has requested a way to streamline the process of assigning Pals to workstations.
Fortunately, per a post by chuanhsing on Reddit, the developer has listened to feedback and will soon add a dedicated menu that will allow users to quickly select what kind of role they want their Pals to fill.
The screenshot of the menu features a list of available Pals on the left alongside a variety of symbols that can be set to display a check mark, a cross, or left blank, indicating how players will be able to program the various duties of the Pals they train. Chuanhsing confirmed the screenshot as legitimate, having originated in 's official Discord server.
Releasing into early access in early 2024, was the first game of the year to light the world on fire as players swarmed to the survival game through a successful word-of-mouth marketing campaign. The title managed to sit amongst Steam's most-played games for weeks, with the player base further boosted by its addition to Xbox Game Pass allowing even more Tamers to join the experience for no extra cost. Following its runaway success, Pocket Pair quickly released its roadmap, outlining some exciting plans for the future.
Pocket Pair intends on adding a PvP system to within the game's first year.
The community was more than excited to discover that the developers plan on expanding with new Pals, buildable structures, and even entirely new locations to further flesh out the already massive Palpagos map. The first major update will introduce the game's first Raid Boss, a powerful new Pal known as Bellanoir.
