A new stunning Unreal Engine 5.2 tech demo is now available for download, allowing players to experience for themselves the impressive visuals made possible by the latest version of the engine by Epic.
The Tropical Rainforest tech demo, which was developed by MAWI United, is the developer's most detailed forest they have created to date, featuring over 140 custom-scanned trees and plants. The demo features high-resolution Nanite meshes with 8K textures, which have been capped at 4K resolution for the demo, dynamic interactions with plants, a custom wind system, multiple stunning sub-biomes, and plenty of other small details that only make this Unreal Engine 5.2 demo more impressive. The demo can be downloaded by going here, while high-quality screenshots can be found on ArtStation.
This week, plenty of Unreal Engine 5 tech demos were shared online, such as the Electric Dreams and The Old West: Northwood demos, to give players a glimpse of what the future holds for video game visuals. With superb Unreal Engine 5- powered visuals, improved writing, and some new gameplay mechanics, these journeys into the darkest recesses of the human mind have never been so immersive, although some issues prevent Layers of Fear from being an absolute masterpiece.
