As someone who has a had NMS since it launched on the PS4, I was entitled to the free PS5 upgrade. I had not gotten around to installing it yet, and hadn't played the game in a while. After installing the PS5 version just the other day, I have to say the game crashes alllllll the time. Has there been an update that broke something, or am I just doing something wrong? The game must have crashed six or seven times in just one play session the other day. Try to land at a Space Station? Crashes. Look around my cabin when inside my ship? Crashes. Try to land at a specific landing beacon? Crashes. What the heck is going on?
To be clear, my PS5 is working normally, and have next to no crashes on other titles. This is all on NMS.

@DailyNightly I can't speak to the PS5 version but I know my Mum can't play the PC version anymore. She had put over a thousand hours into it, but since one of the updates a few months back it won't even load up. It gets to the stars streaming by loading screen then just crashes to the desktop, every time. Retried after every patch since but still can't play it anymore. I've seen mention of the issue online but I haven't been able to find any solution. Likewise everything else still works fine. Sorry this isn't really any help but it does seem like there are some issues.
Not helpful but when they did the BIG update ages ago it ruined my save. I spawned underground and was at full alert, falling forever. Reset and kept respawning and dying over and over again because I couldn't get back to my ship. Seems they have a track record of poor compatibility.
