Alan Wake Remastered game breaking bug - Help & Troubleshooting Forum - Page 1
pushsquare.comI'm on episode 2 and to a part where you have to reach the top of the mill. The problem is the level keeps loading in ways I can't progress. I usually can't even climb the first set of steps because the elevator is glitched into the steps. Every few resets I can get past that but then take invisible damage once I kick the elevator weight down and die before I can do anything else.
Anyone else have this problem or figure out a way to get past it?
My quick research suggests that this is still a known issue that has not been fixed yet. A few on Reddit point out that they got rid of it by replaying the episode, this did not seem to work for others though. Looks like I got lucky since I did not experience any of it.
I emailed epic games the publisher and got this: Sorry to hear you're having hiccups with the game, but let's see what we can do about it. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow: Restart the game from the last checkpoint Restart the level you are currently on Completely close the game out and relaunch it Uninstall/reinstall the game on your console Make sure to update your system to the latest patch.
