The subtext of Allison Hargreeves' actions in The Umbrella Academy season 3 actually makes the character much more of a villain than she seems. The Umbrella Academy season 3 sees the Hargreeves siblings stranded in an alternate reality in which they were never born — something that came with more than a few unexpected complications for the titular superpowered team. For Allison, this meant that her daughter, Claire, was also never born, something which fuelled a large part of the character's season 3 arc.
One of The Umbrella Academy season 3's most exciting stories was that of its seventh member, Viktor Hargreeves. Season 3 saw Elliot Page reintroduce the character of Viktor Hargreeves, whose Umbrella Academy season 3 story confirms that he is male. Season 3 explores his transition, as well as his key place within the team as he discovers his identity. It may be delicate subject matter, but The Umbrella Academy handles it deftly, with the Hargreeves siblings offering support to Viktor. However, season 3's story isn't perfect for Viktor, as it also explores the growing rift between him and Allison, who blames him for the loss of her present-day daughter and her 1950s husband, Ray.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 doesn't see Viktor face any direct issues from his family regarding his transition, but the latter half of the season does see him come up against Allison, who is decidedly vicious towards her brother.
