An epic team up is coming to the Marvel Universe when terrifying kaiju invade and the only thing that can save the day are the combined forces of the Avengers and Ultraman.
Hailing from a civilization millions of lightyears away from Earth, the powerful Ultra beings are a highly advanced race dedicated to fighting for justice all across the galaxy. As one of the most infamous tokusatsu franchises, Ultraman has had an everlasting popularity and has appeared in television shows, movies, games and comic books. After limited runs with Harvey Comics and Dark Horse, the hero Ultraman came to Marvel Comics with the miniseries The Rise of Ultraman. After the series' debut under the Marvel banner, Ultraman received two follow-up series, The Trials of Ultraman and the upcoming The Mystery of Ultraseven. Though Ultraman and his allies are being published by Marvel, they've yet to interact with any of the publisher's notable heroes.

But per an exciting new announcement, that's all about to change. At Los Angeles' Super Anime Convention, Mat Groom, the co-writer of Marvel's Ultraman books, revealed that the franchise would be crossing over with the Marvel universe in a thrilling event. Though details on the series are being kept vague, it's known that Ultraman and Marvel Comics' greatest heroes will be fighting alongside one another. Groom also took to his Twitter account to relay his excitement for the upcoming series, saying "That’s right, we’re bringing you the team-up you never knew you needed— Carol Danvers and Ultraman Taro!".
