Peacock has shared the first Season 2 teaser trailer for the upcoming installment of the hit action comedy based on the classic PlayStation video game series. This comes after more than a year since the adaptation debuted its first 10 episodes.
“Following the revelations in the season one finale, John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly TWISTED METAL tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso,” reads the official logline for Season 2. “As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.”

Twisted Metal Season 2 will officially arrive on Peacock later this year for a Summer 2025 release. The comedy stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett, Joe Seanoa, Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr. The next installment will also introduce Anthony Carrigan, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, Tiana Okoye, and more, with Carrigan set to play the recurring role of Calypso, one of the main antagonists of the original video game series
The series is written and executive produced by Michael Jonathan Smith, who also serves as the showrunner. It is executive produced by Mackie, Arnett, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Marc Forman, Jason Spire, Peter Principato, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Hermen Hulst, with Kitao Sakurai directing multiple episodes. It hails from Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, and Universal Television.
