John Carpenter is well-known for his contributions to horror film history, but he is yet to make a mark on the video game industry in the same way. That could change next year with John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, a team-based shooter set in an original world created by the famed writer and director.
Releasing via Focus Entertainment, Toxic Commando revolves around a team of heavily-armed soldiers that seem to be making their way across the country in an equally kitted-out armored vehicle. There's loads of first-person shooting action with thousands of zombie-like creatures to mow down, including some special types like large hulking creatures and more nimble ones.

The game takes place in the near future after an experiment gone wrong has summoned an eldritch horror, the «Sludge God», into existence. As you might expect, this leads to all sorts of bad events, including the infection of the general populous and the dawn of thousands of «Infected». Are they just like zombies?
