A new Tomb Raider game could be announced soon, as the official website updates to tell players to be on the lookout for "breaking news". This comes over a year since apparent details on a new game were leaked, claiming that the next instalment was in development and would focus on a team of raiders.
Now, the first page of the Tomb Raider website has been updated to collect email addresses, telling fans to sign up to keep up to date on Lara Croft news. It even mentions new "releases" being part of the news that it will be sent out, hinting that Crystal Dynamics is gearing up to reveal the first mainline Tomb Raider game since Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018.

This latest development was first spotted by Twitter user and Lara Croft fan @thetreeble, then shared by Tomb Raider News. It follows on from a further rumour earlier this year that the new game would be revealed in 2023, so we might get the reveal sooner rather than later.
The updated page asks fans if they're "ready to become a Tomb Raider?" Maybe we're reading too much into it - but could it be hinting that the rumours about a game with multiple raiders could be true? This would be quite the departure, giving Lara a proper team to work with.
Adding legitimacy to the rumours, the claim that the new game will be revealed this year came from noteworthy leaker Miller Ross.
