Larian Studios has released the first major update for Baldur’s Gate 3.
According to the studio, Patch 1 addresses “over 1,000 bugs, balancing, flow issues and much, much more”.
The full patch notes can be read here, although Larian notes that some entries might include spoilers.
“So what can you expect from this update?” the studio says. “Well, we’ve eliminated issues like NPCs who sometimes spot you when they really shouldn’t be able to, floating items like mugs and newspapers that should abide the laws of gravity, and the conclusion to Shadowheart’s romance scene not triggering for some players, among others.”
It adds: “Patch 1 also tackles a few visual bugs, and sprinkles on more post-launch polish. We’re bringing back Short King Summer with better kissing contact for short races!”
Players won’t have to wait long for Patch 2, “which is right around the corner” and will feature “significant performance improvements” due to be detailed at a later date.
Larian has also said it’s planning to introduce the ability for players to change the way that their character looks mid-game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released for PS5 on September 6, and Larian announced on Thursday that a delayed Xbox version will arrive later this year after split-screen co-op was removed as a feature on Series S.
