Ever since No Way Home hit theaters, has been highly anticipated by fans across the globe. It is set to continue Peter Parker’s story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. It will possibly begin a new trilogy taking place during Peter Parker’s college years. But when is it coming out?

Sony is yet to officially reveal when Spider-Man 4 will be hitting the theaters. But, earlier in 2023, a report from Deadline indicated that Sony booked a release slot on June 27, 2025, for an untitled Spider-Man Universe movie. This could easily be allotted to Tom Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man 4, and there are multiple reasons for that.
Before No Way Home’s December 17, 2021 release, early July was Sony’s permanent release period for MCU-based Spider-Man movies. Spider-Man: Homecoming arrived on July 7, 2017, and Spider-Man: Far From Home arrived on July 2, 2019. Even No Way Home was initially supposed to release in July 2021, but got delayed due to the pandemic.
But since the development of Spider-Man 4 is in the early stages, and since there are just two other MCU movies arriving in 2025, it’s likely that the June 27, 2025 release slot will be allotted to Spider-Man 4 to make it the third MCU movie of the year. Sony booked a date for June 27, instead of July 4, 2025, to probably give Spider-Man 4 a two-week window before competing with Superman: Legacy on July 11, 2025.
