FromSoftware's Armored Core series has made its debut on PC and was the biggest-selling title on Steam last week.
The sixth entry in the franchise – Fires of Rubicon – was released on August 24th and dethroned RPG darling Baldur's Gate 3 after three weeks at the top. Recently, Bandai Namco's European CEO Arnauld Muller said that FromSoftware's solid reputation thanks to the likes of Elden Ring has helped pave the way for Armored Core 6 to be a success.
Second place goes to – what else but – Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, coming ahead of Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time in three weeks. Pre-orders for Bethesda's Starfield dropped from third to fourth week-on-week. That's likely not a reflection of diminished interest in the eagerly-anticipated RPG, but rather Armored Core 6 seeing a strong debut and bumping the pre-orders down one place.
Destiny 2 returns to the Top Ten in fifth thanks to a trailer launching for the upcoming The Final Shape expansions pack. EA's free-to-play battle royale title Apex Legends drops one plaec to sixth, ahead of Valve's Steam Deck which rose up two positions to reach No.7 last week. PUBG: Battlegrounds drops one place to eighth, while Call of Duty drops from sixth to ninth week-on-week.
Rounding off the Top Ten this week is NetEase's Naraka: Bladepoint.
