Already released on PC, the Lovecraftian action platformer is coming to Android. The Metroidvania experience will bring eldritch horrors reminiscent of Lovecraft’s monsters to life. Publishing company, PID Games, is no stranger to successful Android games, and Elderand looks primed to be one more for the collection. A notable feature in Elderand’s is the players’ ability to fully customize their characters, from skills and stats to appearance and fighting style. Resources and riches allow players to craft better armor and weaponry as they progress. Elderand’s combat mechanics also provides players with a wide range of weaponry to choose from, allowing all combat preferences to shine.
Google Play touts Elderand as gruesome, with glory and riches awaiting those skilled enough to kill for them. But Elderand is not touting itself as just another hack and slash. Exploration also plays a vital factor in getting the most out of the story. Cursed Cathedrals, floating islands, dark forests, even darker prisons and more await the brave adventurer. Players must find monsters, befriend NPCs and loot whatever they can. Elderand also has something for the collector at heart; lost letters and items can be looted from fallen foes which will help players unravel eldritch mysteries.
Elderand is not free to play, but mobile users can save 28% by pre-registering. A cost reduction that will last through the first day of the game’s launch. If the game’s hand-drawn graphics, character customization and combat versatility do not pull players in, perhaps the discount will.
