From Software has said it’s investigating save data issues some Armored Core 6 players are encountering on PC.
The studio acknowledged the issue and apologised for the inconvenience in an update on its Japanese player support Twitter account.
“In the PC version of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, there is a problem that save data is not saved properly under certain circumstances,” it said (via Google Translate).
“We are currently investigating the cause, but please end the game before putting your PC to sleep. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers.”
Announced at The Game Awards last December, the sixth instalment in the mech action series is the first new one in over a decade, the previous one being 2012’s Armored Core 5.
Promising “fast-paced battles, in-depth customisation, and thrilling boss fights”, the game was released on August 25 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
It has been well received by critics, earning it Metacritic scores of 80 on Xbox Series X/S, 86 on PS5 and 87 on PC.
The game topped the UK all formats chart in its launch week, while the PlayStation versions also took the top two places on the Japanese software chart, according to Famitsu.
