Hello, I recently bought a used PS4 1TB with four games. Three of the games work fine, but when I try to install GTA 5, it stops at around 11% and gives an error message: «Cannot continue using the application. The data for the following application is corrupted. Delete the application from the PS4, and then insert the disc again.»
I've already tried deleting the game from storage and reinstalling it, but I'm encountering the same problem. Could you please help me identify whether it's a problem with the disc or the HDD, and provide guidance on how to fix it? Thanks!
Can you try installing it on another PS4 or 5 or rebuild the database in Safe Mode?
Are there any visible scratches on the disc?
A 1TB SATA SSD (Samsung or Crucial) is about £40 at the moment so might be worth an upgrade if the disc is OK?

I don’t have any other PS4 to try it on, the disc looks alright, no major visible scratch is observed. This console is under 90 day’s warranty, do you think I should get it replaced if the problem is related to HDD and not the disc? Thanks
Have you tried the rebuild the database option? Either that or (having backed up what you need!!!!) try reformatting it back to factory default?
I'd doubt that it's the PS4 at fault as the 3 other games are working fine and it's just this one. Could be the algorithm is putting the install data onto a damaged/iffy section of the hard drive (this is why I said try rebuilding the database or reformat as that should mark any duff sections as invalid).
Can you clarify — has it installed OK and you're trying to play it or does the error show up when it's installing the game data (and patches)?
If it is the hard drive, you have a choice of returning the whole PS4 or
