Yet Another War Thunder Player Shares Military Documents On The Forums

War Thunder, a free-to-play vehicular combat MMO, has developed somewhat of an unwanted reputation over the past few years, as players of the game have been regularly sharing classified military documents via the game's forums, mostly to settle arguments between players shouting at each other over realistic vehicle performance. It's happened multiple times in the past, and War Thunder players won't be surprised to hear that it's happened once again.

First shared by @BurkeKrohn on Twitter, an unknown user recently shared a 730-page manual for the Eurofighter Typhoon DA7 on the War Thunder forums, a prototype jet that was evaluated in Italy for its missile carriage. The user claimed that the manual contained every possible detail on the craft, including "systems, weaponry, flight data" and more.

While the majority of these military leaks have happened in an attempt to settle disputes between players, there's a much more wholesome reason for this one, as this unknown player simply shared the document in an attempt to help the devs add the aircraft to the game faster. Even though there's some clearly good intentions behind the leak, it's still highly problematic that the document was shared, and it's already been removed.

In fact, this user may not have known they were doing something wrong, as the document in question is actually publicly available for the majority of you reading. Unfortunately, the document is export restricted though, meaning those that live in non-NATO countries aren't allowed to view it. Gaiijin Entertainment, the developer behind War Thunder, has a strict policy on removing documents that are resticted in any way, so the post got the axe
