Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0 has been announced and will be arriving next month shortly after the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion.
The modder behind the popular The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project released its Cyberpunk 2077 texture pack back in March of this year. Fast forward six months, and the modder is now planning to release version 2.0 of his HD texture pack mod for CD Projekt Red's hit title. According to the modder, Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0 will contain plenty of environment textures that weren't enhanced in the current version. In addition, version 2.0 will improve numerous textures from 1.0. "I'm still working on overall improving the quality and yes, this update makes the texture quality even better level than before", 'Halk Hogan' writes. As most of you will follow 'Halk Hogan' will know, his HD Reworked Projects aim to improve visuals while retaining the game's original art style. As such, numerous in-game assets have been reworked, including various objects, high-quality roads, vegetation, terrain, dirt, and much more. Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project currently comes in various versions with the 'Ultra' quality version being recommended for 2K/4K displays. This version provides the highest quality textures and best visual experience but does increase VRAM usage.
Meanwhile, there's also the 'balanced' version of the project, which is recommended for GPUs with less memory. "Game can use up only about 400MB more VRAM so basically everyone who can comfortably play the game can use this without experiencing any significant performance drops while having noticeably better textures", the modder explains.
