Tom Holland reveals how much he anticipated working with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Holland is officially the current web-slinging hero for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He first played the role in 2016'sCaptain America: Civil War and reprised it in the succeeding solo Spider-Man «Homecoming» film series from director Jon Watts. Maguire is credited to be the original modern-day Peter Parker, having played the superhero in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy from 2002 to 2007. Garfield starred in the Amazing Spider-Man reboot in 2012, which also had a sequel in 2014.
Spider-Man: No Way Home reunited the three actors with an epic, mind-blowing multi-verse storyline that saw the return of the two previous Spider-Men in the film's final act. The movie also featured iconic villains from the previous eras, such as the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman. No Way Home hit the big screen on December 17, 2021, and immediately became a worldwide phenomenon. The Phase 4 film has grossed $1.6 billion at the box office, becoming the most commercially successful MCU film since Avengers: Endgame.

Holland joined Maguire and Garfield once again for an interview on the official Spider-Man YouTube channel. The 25-year-old actor gushed about sharing the screen with his two predecessors and revealed how nervous he was at the thought of working alongside the previous Spider-Man actors. Holland shared a sweet story of how he actually marked the date when «the other Spider-Mans are coming» on his calendar, and how he anxiously waited for the day to arrive.
