Tom Holland wants to see Andrew Garfield return to the Spider-Man franchise for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, according to a new Comicbook.com interview. This post contains spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home--if that's a thing you take seriously, please head to literally anywhere else on the internet instead of continuing to read.
The Q&A, which was mainly to promote Holland's upcoming film Uncharted, inevitably turned towards the recent Spider-Man: No Way Home. The movie quickly became Sony's biggest movie of all time, no doubt a status attained at least in part by the superhero movie featuring both Garfield and Tobey Maguire alongside Holland in a fan-pleasing multiverse crossover. In the wake of that movie's release, Garfield has let it be known that he is «definitely open» to playing Spider-Man again--and in this new interview, Holland is letting it be known that he wants to see that happen, as well.
«I would love to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3,» Holland said. «I think what was so wonderful was how Andrew was able to kind of make amends with the character and the studio, you know, to kind of win the general public back.»
Elsewhere in the Spider-Man universe, it was recently reported that actor Dakota Johnson is in talks and negotiations to potentially star as Madame Web. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) is expected to hit theaters on October 7.
Uncharted will arrive in theaters on February 18.
